I can't select my country

Please comment on the campaign (or DM us via Kickstarter) to request shipping options be added for your country. We do ship world wide - it just isn’t feasible to put up the exact shipping prices for every country while setting up the campaign.

Can I get signed hardcovers?

In short - no. It’s just not logistically possible and would cost us all a small fortune in shipping, since The Book Guy is based in Australia and most of you are international. HOWEVER - We’re planning to offer signed bookplates (basically a fancy label signed by the author that you can stick in your book) as an optional Add On. You will be able to select this when you complete your survey - AFTER the Kickstarter has ended. Please note it will incur an extra shipping charge since it will be sent separately to the physical books.

What is BookFunnel?

BookFunnel is an app that allows us to deliver ebooks and audiobooks to you. It’s totally free for you to use and is quite user friendly. You can sync it with your eReader, or just read / listen within the BookFunnel app itself.

Will you customise my signed books?

This will be entirely dependant on how many signed books we end up selling. If customisation is possible, we’ll give you an option to submit a name / message request when you complete your survey.

When will I receive my items?

Please check the estimated fulfilment dates on Kickstarter for each item you pledges for. We’ll also post regular updates to let you know how the timeline is going and if there are any delays or if we’re ahead of schedule.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.

Terms and Conditions

Ah, the super fun terms and conditions. It's pretty basic stuff:

We are in Australia. Shipping internationally can take anywhere from 2 - 6 weeks after dispatch (this does not apply to the eBook, Audiobook, or Basic Paperback and Hardcover tiers as those are either delivered digitally or are shipped directly from our publishers closest warehouse to you).
You will receive a tracking email for your order.

We cannot refund orders for any reason once production starts.

We cannot guarantee that you'll like the books. Obviously, we hope that you love them. We've provided as much spoiler free information as possible to help you decide if this is a series that you'll enjoy.
In our experience, less than 3.5% of our physical orders have any issues with the product or delivery. But in the unlikely event that happens, these terms apply:

If there is a problem with your order, please let us know within 30 days of receiving it. You can message via Kickstarter or email [email protected]
If your order is Returned To Sender, you will need to pay postage again for it to be re-sent to you.
If your order is lost in the mail or marked as delivered but not actually delivered, we cannot refund your items. However, we would like to work with you to find a solution if possible, so please get in touch via email.
Item colours may vary slightly in real life. We do our best to take photos that accurately represent the colours, but everyone's screen will display it differently.
